Instructions
1. Spray one sheet of purple cardstock with white webbing, following manufacturer’s
instructions. Allow to dry completely and cut in half (each piece will be
5½ x 8½”).
2. Stamp sheet of orange cardstock randomly with spider web stamp and white
pigment ink (you will NOT emboss this). Allow to dry completely then cut
sheet in half (each piece will be 5½ x 8½”).
3. Stamp the letters T, t, o on sheet of white paper and enlarge them on
a copier approximately 200-300% (depending on the size you desire) – you
may need to experiment to see what works for you.
4. Using round nose pliers and 20 gauge purple wire, form the letters by
hand, placing the wire over the enlarged letters. Flatten with Nylon Jaw
Pliers. If they don’t completely hold together at this point, don’t
worry, as you will be securing them to the cardstock to keep their shape.
5. Using one of the Orange stamped pieces lay out your wire letters for
placement, centering on the page.
6. Begin by attaching the capital “T”.
7. To attach each letter, secure by making tiny holes through both layers
with needle tool or pin (place on foam cushion to do this) in several places.
Make ½” horseshoe shapes with 26 gauge matching wire. Insert
these horseshoe shapes through the tiny holes around letters and secure
by flattening open on the back of the cardstock (like a brad).
8. After your “T” is secure, stamp and emboss “rick” right
next to the T with Purple.
9. Secure the “o”, stamp and emboss “r” and continue
the same process for the “t” “reat”.
10. Apply Glossy Accents to the inside of each of the wire letters and allow
to dry for several hours.
11. Stamp candy corn 12 times with Mandarin Ink on white cardstock. Color
the bottom portion of the candy with yellow colored pencil.
12. Apply Glossy Accents to cover each of the candy pieces and allow to
dry for several hours. Once dry, cut out each piece individually and apply
foam square to the back of each.
13. Using 5½ x 8½” piece of webbed purple cardstock,
cut a window approximately 2¾ x 6¾” for the “Trick
or Treat”. Attach this piece over the orange wired piece with Super
tape.
14. Using 5½ x 8½” piece of stamped orange cardstock,
cut a window approximately 3½ x 7½”. Attach this piece
with Super Tape over the framed layers.
15. Score the additional piece of Purple cardstock in center to make a card
(8½ x 5½” folded).
16. Trim 1/8” from each side of this framed piece and secure to the
purple card with super tape. If necessary, trim additional edges.
17. Make 6 wire spirals using 20 gauge Tangerine wire and round nose pliers.
18. Attach candy corn around top and bottom of frame, using wire spirals
(secured with Zots) between candy. |
