Instructions
1. Cut a 10” piece of wire and form shape in diagram 1. Use nylon jaw pliers to flatten shape.
2. Cut a 1 1/2” piece of wire, form a loop at one end. String on a gold bead, white bead and gold bead. Loop end and attach the small gold coin to one of the loop ends. Attach other loop end to the bottom of the shape created in step 1.
3. Cut a 4” piece of wire and form in the shape of a horseshoe. String 9 gold beads and 8 white beads in alternating order on the horseshoe shape. Loop ends of horseshoe and attach to the shape created in step one. (refer to photo)
4. Make 2 more bead dangles as in step 2, but use a large gold coin in place of the small one. Attach one to the bottom of the horseshoe shape in the middle of beads. Set the other one aside.
5. Cut a 2” piece of wire and form into a horseshoe shape, set aside. Using the headpins string on a white bead then form a loop. Do this with all six headpins. String on 3 of the small bead dangles then the lager bead dangle that you set aside, then the other three small bead dangles. Loop the ends and attach to larger horseshoe. (refer to photo for placement)
6.Cut a 1 1/2” piece of wire and form a loop at one end then string on the following beads; one gold, one white, one long green, one white, one gold. Form a loop to complete the bead link. Repeat, so that you have two bead links. Attach one bead link to the spiral on the shape created in step one and the other to the loop on that same shape. (refer to photo)
7. Cut two 3” pieces of wire and form both into shape in diagram 2. Use nylon jaw pliers to flatten shape.Attach these shapes to the ends of the bead links created in the prior step.
8. Using the wire worker with the smallest metal mandrel, tightly wrap wire around mandrel for about 1”. Remove coiled wire from mandrel trim the ends and cut into four equal lengths. Creating 4 coiled beads. Set aside.
9. Cut a 1 1/2” piece of wire loop end and string on the following beads; one coil, one white, one gold, one white, one gold, one white, one coil. Loop the end. Repeat, so that you have two bead links. Attach these to the other ends on the spiral shapes from diagram 2.
10. Cut two pieces of the thin leather cord about 16” long. String the leather cord through the ends of the last bead links, and meet up the ends of the chord lengths. String onto the chord a few beads and slide them down to meet the loops of the last bead links. Tie a knot in the cord to hold beads in place. Trim the leather cord to desired length so that the necklace will fit around neck. Crimp the cord ends onto the end of the trimmed leather and attach clasp to the cord ends. If necessary make a jump ring using wire to attach.
