Instructions:
1. Trace star pattern onto clear acetate and use for paper cutting template.
2. Wire Stars:
- Use 22 gauge wire. Set up the Jewelry Jig following the pattern for pegs. Follow the direction on the pattern and make 2 complete triangles for each star, leaving short tails. Remove from pegs and snip with wire cutters to make 2 triangles. Flatten with Nylon Jaw Pliers and trim off tails. Make 8 triangles for 4 stars.
- For each star cut 3” squares from white cardstock.
- To attach each of the wire stars to white squares, make tiny holes with needle tool or pin (place on foam cushion to do this) around various points of each triangle, securing one triangle at a time. Make ½” horseshoe shapes with 26 gauge matching wire. Insert these horseshoe shapes through the tiny holes around wire shapes and secure by flattening on the back of the cardstock.
- Fill in stars with glossy accents and allow to dry (this adds dimension as well as helping to hold the wire star firmly in place).
3.Yellow Star Layer:
-Use star template and center over wire star on white square. Trace with disappearing pen trim so that star is ¼” larger than marked star.
- Use template to trace turquoise star. Cut turquoise on template line for inside and ¼” larger for an open star.
- Adhere turquoise open star to white wire star. Apply foam tape to the back of these two layers.
- Cut a yellow star ¼” larger than turquoise star and adhere turquoise star layers to the yellow piece. Set aside for later use.
4.Triple Star Strip:
- Cut turquoise strip 2 ½" x width of page diagonally.
- Use template to trace and cut three star openings then adhere this turquoise piece over wire stars.
- Apply foam tape to the back of this turquoise piece and adhere to strip of blue 2 ¾” wide, then to yellow strip 3” wide.
- Make 4 wire swirls and glue to cardstock between wire stars
5.Photo Strip:
- Cut diagonal piece of turquoise cardstock 5” wide by width of page diagonally.
- Cut diagonal piece of yellow cardstock 4 ½” wide by width of page diagonally and adhere to turquoise strip
- Adhere thin ribbon over this intersection of colors.
- Cut your two main photos into three strips each 2x4”. Save the third photo to make triangles for the sides.
6.Cardstock letters:
- Apply several coats of white acrylic paint (if they’re not already white) and allow to dry completely.
- Stamp dots on each letter with turquoise and blue ancient page & allow to dry.
- Dab on clear embossing ink and emboss with 2 coats of clear powder.
7.Assembling page:
- Apply Hanukkah sticker diagonally to top of page, then adhere yellow dimensional star.
- Adhere photo strip to center diagonal of page.
- Adhere 3/8” ribbon just above photo strip, then glue “Hanukkah” letters over ribbon.
- Adhere triple star strip below photo strip.
- Glue various ribbons to bottom of page as desired.
