Project Sheet 1106

Instructions:
Step 1. Paint all sides of box with Décor It Copper Paint and let dry completely.

Step 2. Apply leaf adhesive to box in sections (avoiding the inlaid areas where you will be gluing swirls) and let dry according to package instructions (approx. 1 hr.).

Step 3. Apply gilding with soft brush and save extra for another application.

Step 4. Apply Clear Gloss to all areas of box that have been gilded.

Step 5. Paint 30 (plus extra for good measure) wire swirls (only the side that will show) with Black Décor It Paint & allow to dry.

Step 6. Working an inlaid section at a time, adhere black swirls using Gem-Tac. Allow to dry for several hours.

Step 7. Apply Glossy Accents in inlaid sections, covering the swirls, to seal.

Step 8. Stamp desired words around outside border on white decorative paper with Ancient Page. Allow to dry completely and erase pencil lines.

Step 9. Paint inside of box with black paint.

Note: The Glossy Accents will react with the gilding and give you a patina look around the swirls. If this is not desired, seal the sections with additional Gem-Tac before adhering swirls.
