For each Cupcake Pick, cut five pieces of 22 Gauge Red wire 2-3” long. .
Curve one end of each piece of wire around a pencil or similar curved item, then bend in the tip a bit more with round nose pliers.
Stamp cake on red cardstock with white pigment ink and emboss with white embossing Puffs (this is to give the impression of frosting, but if you don’t have embossing puffs, use regular embossing powder). If cake is mirror image, emboss two identical cakes. If cake will not line up when placed back to back, stamp an extra one, but don’t emboss and you will use the un-stamped side for the back of the pick.
Cut out all cakes close to outside edge, being careful not to cut too close to embossed edges.
Place piece of red-line adhesive on inside top edge of one cake piece & use this to help hold down swirls while determining placement.
Cut swirls to desired lengths and hold in place with red-line adhesive on inside of cake.
Using Fabri-tac, Glue flat toothpick to center bottom of cake, extending into cake at least ½”.
Apply Fabri-tac to back of unwire cake and adhere together, holding together as necessary until dry.
